FAQS
-
My hours vary, but a good rule of thumb is that I am available (if not in a client session) between the hours of 9 AM and 7PM Monday through Thursday (I do not see clients on Thursdays but do answer calls and texts as I am available), and Saturdays from 9AM until 2PM. My hours are subject to change.

As of now, I take commercial insurance only. I accept UPMC, Highmark, and Aetna.

Yes! I offer bundle deals in packages of 4 and 8. This is a non-refundable up front cost. I also offer a per session rate. Sliding scales are discussed on an individual basis.
-
My cancellation policy is as follows: A client should cancel with 48 hours notice or they are subject to pay the counselor’s full session fee. Understanding that a 48 hour time frame isn’t always possible, a halved fee is charged for cancellations made in over 24 hours, but under 48 hours.

It is my goal to make sure that each client receives the care they want and need. When late cancellations occur, there is often the opportunity for the canceled session to be filled by another client who may need the appointment that week. The likelihood of the session matching the availability of a client in need in less than 24-48 hours is diminished. It is also important that each client is invested in their healing process. A client with frequent last minute cancellations may need more time to prepare to prioritize their healing and growth.

Most people are able to receive EMDR and find great success with it! To have the most success with EMDR sometimes a few skill building sessions are necessary to help someone learn how to regulate emotions and how to identify how they are feeling. I do not provide EMDR for children under the age of 13. This is because EMDR with children is best carried out by someone who specializes in child/play therapy and can provide the most child specific care.

I'm human. (= I have my quirks, weird moments, make mistakes, and belly laugh until I snort just like the rest of us. I am not super human. Just here to help.
